Carbon Reduction Projects

Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives

The following environmental management measures and projects have already been implemented using our 2022 baseline as our starting point:

·         Begun sourcing renewable energy aiming to have 100% renewable energy as soon as possible.

·         Reduced Energy waste, ensuring all non-working areas electric usage is reduced to a minimum, introduction of more energy saving lighting.

·         Staff encouraged to use video conferencing for meetings wherever possible instead of travel. Most of P&S Healthcare’s meetings are carried out over Teams and travel has been reduced to a bare minimum

In the future we hope to implement further measures such as:

·         Working towards the ISO 14001 and gaining certification within the next 5 years

·         Sourcing more sustainable and renewable raw products to reduce environmental impacts.

·         Requiring suppliers to report their carbon footprint data to us to help improve the accuracy of out carbon measurement and engaging with current suppliers to see where we can reduce carbon emissions to support our net Zero target.

·         Evaluating all products bought with specific plans for more efficient use such as reducing single use plastics and looking to reduce the usage of paper where possible.

·         Targeting reductions in emissions where possible resulting from the commuting to and from work. Encourage staff to use low carbon transport methods where possible (e.g. walking, cycling, car sharing, electric transport)

·         Work with key individuals on carbon reduction plans such as setting carbon budgets and working with our suppliers to reduce emissions to achieve net zero.

·         Source more local suppliers to reduce the transportation emissions.
